The San Francisco VA Downtown Clinic is hosting Women’s Vet Connect to bring community partners together to provide services to women veterans. This event is aimed at women who’ve served in the military through offering a variety of services to help them. Attendees will be able to work with various participating Veterans Service Organizations for resources for them.

Female veteran attendees may be able to get housing referrals, domestic violence assistance, supportive counseling, and mental health service providers to address their immediate needs. It is an opportunity to meet local employers, meet with an EDD representative to help with a job search, and coordinate with Dress for Success to be clothing for interviews and new jobs. Children are welcome at this event and mothers can see what child support services are available to them.

Speakers will include Starlyn Lara, the Women Veterans Coordinator at Swords to Plowshares, and Morningstar Vencil, a Navy veteran involved in community work as well.

The event offers a massage therapist, a craft table, music, gifts and food. It is LGBTQ friendly. For any questions or transportation needed, contact Charlene Phillips at 415-281-5162.
